Medical Technologist (MT/CLS) - Porter - FT - Evenings

Responsibilities:
Performs clinical laboratory tests. Assures instrumentation is operating according to industry standards. Continually strives to improve processes to achieve accurate test results in a cost effective and efficient manner. Occasionally supervises activities of phlebotomists and clerks on specific tasks. Occasionally functions as acting supervisor. Reports to a Laboratory Manager or Supervisor. Receives general supervision from Pathologists, Director, Lead Technologist and Medical Technologists.
Qualifications:
Education Bachelor's degree and Medical Technology (MT) certification with American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent. Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988. ExperienceAt least 1 years of MT background(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)Licensure/CertificationRegistered with ASCP (or eligible for registry) as a Medical Technologist or equivalentCompensation/Benefits $24.75-$43.71/hr depending on previous experience Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, retirement plans, free parking, and opportunities for advancement.
