Research Technician
POSITION INFORMATION: Provides assistance to a research staff by collecting data, keeping records, conducting literature and technical research, analyzing data, preparing reports, etc. This position will support the mHealth campus wide shared resource of the Oklahoma Tobacco Research Center.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
1. Technical Support. Load and test software for mobilephones and tablets.
2. Data Collection. Collects various forms of data pertaining to mobile device performance.
2. Record Keeping. Maintain clear, concise, and consistent logs of reported issues and workperformed.
3. Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with mobile devices and applicationsoftware.
4. Interacting with Clients. Communicate with clients in a clear, accurate, and tactful manner.
5. Report Preparation. Attention to details and prepares reports concerning mobile deviceperformance across multiple research studies.
6. As Needed. Performsvarious duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor'sdegree in related field.
Equivalent/ Substitution: Will accept 48 months of equivalent experience in lieu of aBachelor's degree - as well as being computerliterate.
Preferred: Someknowledge of Android and Apple mobile devices.
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS: General understanding of Microsoft productsand desktop hardware, strong customer service and strong communication skills(both written and verbal), excellent interpersonal skills with the ability tolisten and understand what is being described, drive to resolve issues andconcerns as quickly as possible, and superior organizational skills.
