Management and Program Analyst
The incumbent serves as a Management and Program Analyst and is responsible for coordinating timely and quality support while conducting a wide range of administrative and technical work focused on enhancing operational efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity in direct support of Bureau-wide oversight of the Wild Horse and Burro Program. In addition to providing administrative support to the division, primary duties also include budget execution analysis and reporting, workflow processes analysis, records and database management, and training oversight. This work is performed primarily in an office setting, although there is frequent travel to the field when work will be performed in a field environment. At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in federal service. Specialized experience is defined as assisting with:
Research and investigations of new and improved business and management practices; Development of management and program evaluation plans, procedures, and methodology; Management surveys to determine compliance with regulations, procedures, sound management practices and effective utilization of staff. This level of work typically involved following established methods and procedures or detailed instructions; using some judgment in applying analytical techniques; solving minor problems and making routine decisions. -OR- a Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if relatedExperience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. For volunteer work you must identify the amount of time worked for each volunteer position including the dates (mm/dd/yy) along with the number of hours worked per week.
